Membership Information

Membership into the BD Dads Organization is not limited to dads. It is not uncommon for us to have members that currently have children attending a Wayne Township Elementary, or Junior High school. We have members that are BDHS Alumni, granddads, great granddads, and even uncles. We are also fortunate to have a few members that have remained as active BD Dads’ after their children have graduated Ben Davis High School.

During the school year, the BD Dads typically have meetings on the first Tuesday, and fourth Thursday of each month. The meetings start at 6:00pm, and are held in room W110 (enter thru door #14) of the Area 31 Career Center. During the summer months, the BD Dads will usually only meet once in June and July.

Membership is strictly voluntary, and we do not have any type of membership dues. So, the cost to become a BD Dad is absolutely free.

Steps to Becoming a BD Dad

1. Notify one of the BD Dad Officers with your intention to apply for membership into the BD Dads Organization.
2. Every applicant must go through a background check. Applicants are not allowed to participate in any BD Dads functions until their BD Dads ID card has been issued. Start the process to volunteer here.
3. Once the background check has been completed. You will receive approval notification from the M.S.D. of Wayne Township Human Resources Department. At that time, you will be asked to go to the Human Resources Department to have your picture taken for the BD Dads ID card.
4. Once you have received your BD Dads Identification Card, you are an official member of the BD Dads Organization.
