Course Information
Television 1–Students that have completed Mass Media requirements may enroll in this introductory course to television broadcasting. Students will learn the 5 components of television, camera operation, audio, lightning, writing and editing. We will be using a “hands-on” approach to our teaching.
Television 2–Students that will continue perfecting the five basic components of television broadcasting. The “hands-on” approach will continue and we will introduce studio production. Students will have the opportunity to learn anchoring, directing, producing, studio gamers, audio and studio lighting. We will produce programming that will be aired on closed-circuit television here at Ben Davis High School.
Television 3–We will continue with the 5 components of television broadcasting and studio production. Students will have the opportunity to provide content for and the production of the shows produced by BDTV including the announcement newscast and any cable programs.
Television 4–Accelerated course encompassing the other 3 courses. Students will have the opportunity for internships, co-op programs, and job shadowing at the local news stations. This will be a “project oriented” class.
