Here is what Tom Hayes had to say about Dezy. "Dezy is the academics editor for our yearbook. She is constantly looking for creative ways to cover classroom activities. She is excellent at delegating work and checking with students to make sure assignments are covered. She does a great job of staying on top of her work load and keeping track of work flow in the yearbook."

Here is what Jennifer Garrett had to say about Lewis. "Lewis is a great peer role model for the students in my THRIVE classroom. He has IMPACT with two of my students, and has been a great friend to them. He always stops to talk with them when he sees them at lunch and in the hallway. Lewis asks questions to get to know them better, and shows true friendship to students who so desperately want to fit in. Lewis is a great model to my students, and to other general education students at Ben Davis."

Derek Zarate-Jimenez 10th grade - Finding Humor

Here is what Miranda Minnick had to say about Derek. "Derek is, without fail, unapologetically himself! He is goofy, enthusiastic, kind to others, and overall just a fantastic human. It didn't take long for Derek to feel right at home in English class this year, and he has already made our classroom that much brighter. Through goofy quips, energetic displays of enthusiasm, and consistent perseverance, Derek continues to push himself and his classmates towards a productive (and silly) semester of learning. His presence in our class is a true gift that deserves to be acknowledged!"
