Remaining Open to Continuous Learning: Here is what Mr. Lile had to say about Kate. "Ben Davis Class of 2024 Valedictorian Kate Baldwin is without any doubt a bright, talented, and driven learner in the classroom. A recent experience with Kate showed me how much she is driven to learn. In a conversation with her about some challenges she was facing, I was reminded of a non fiction book I read a few years ago. I told her briefly about the book and offered to lend her my copy. She accepted. Despite the rigorous load of required learning in her schedule and her part time work as a lifeguard, Kate devoured the book and was excited to talk about it with me when she was done. It was obvious Kate saw the book as an opportunity to remain open to continuous learning beyond the classroom. She is clearly driven to apply new learning to her life in an effort to develop greater wisdom."

Natalie Wilhite--12th Grade

Creating, Imagining, and Innovating: Here is what Mr. Hayes had to say about Natalie. "Natalie is academic editor of the yearbook and spends her time creating designs and assigning story ideas. She willingly came into school three days over spring break to assure that we met our 100% deadline and she is constantly looking for ways to improve our processes. Natalie also is very involved in school as senior vice president and a member of our orchestra. She also is a Top 30 student and looks challenges."

Persisting: Here is what Ms. Masterson had to say about Widlouka. "Widlouka is a very hardworking student. He asks questions for clarification and assists peers that are struggling. He submits work on time or early. He takes every opportunity to gain both knowledge of content as well as language. He participates in class daily and is always actively engaged in class. He is an excellent model of excellence. He is a pleasure to have in class and is a very kind and honest human being."
