Betzy Neri-Guzman 11th grade - Listening with Understanding and Empathy

Here is what Trent Hinshaw had to say about Betsy. "I am extremely impressed with the empathy that Betzy has. She is constantly helping her classmates and has taken another student "under her wing" since he does not speak English. She is kind and caring to her fellow Giants. She is the only one who has brought in items for the BD Food Drive, bringing in 75 items with 7 days left in the food drive. Betzy, in my opinion, is what I hope all Giants strive to be."

His willingness to assist both peers and teachers reflects a remarkable sense of responsibility and a genuine desire to contribute positively to our learning environment. Walter stands out for his proactive approach, always stepping in to support classmates with patience and kindness. Whether helping organize materials, explaining concepts to peers, or taking initiative during group activities, uplifting everyone around him. He perseveres and is a hardworking student.
