Jaymee Beasley 11th grade - Thinking Interdependently:

Here is what Melissa Mooney said about Jaymee. "Jaymee has shown tremendous initiative in my True Crime Lit class already this school year. She is the first one to raise her hand to participate in a discussion. She poses questions and asks for clarification when she doesn't understand. She listens to differing opinions and accepts those differing perspectives while also staying true to her own values. She reflects on her actions and identifies areas for improvement. It's truly a pleasure to have her in class. She sets a great example of how to participate and collaborate in a classroom setting. Her classmates are lucky to have her!"

Here is what Kristine Hendrix said about Lyza. "Lyza Lang, a Jewelry 4 student, is accomplishing something truly impressive. She isn’t just designing & making jewelry — she is imagining, innovating, and creating a business from the ground up with the skills she's practiced over several semesters. By developing her own brand and business plan, she shows remarkable creativity and ambition, turning her artistic talent into a real-world application. Go Lyza! :)"

Here is what Enid Claxon said about David. "David is my student helper 8th period. It is one of my largest classes of the day and has several students that require a lot of attention. David moves around my classroom from one student to the next checking in on them, building relationships with them, and making sure they are on task. He helps make me a better teacher! He knows what it is like to be a newcomer and has truly stepped up to make students feel welcomed and valued here at BD. I'm so proud of him."
