Ronald D. Reyes 12th grade - Thinking Interdependently:

Here is what Paisley Kleinhenz said about Ronald. "When discussing our Informative Writing as a class and ways to organize our writing, Ronald thought of a unique way to organize his essay and shared it with the class. Many students chose to use his organization method for writing. As a teacher I very much appreciated his suggestion, as did his classmates."

Caiden Foster 10th grade - Thinking and Communicating with Clarity and Precision:

Here is what Michelle Torres said about Caiden. "Caiden is what I like to call, “the definition of an active participant in the learning environment”. During direct instruction, he is constantly participating, asking questions, and engaging others in the classroom. If he notices his peers or friends becoming too loud or are off tasks, he will quickly redirect them. Even if he is sometimes off task himself, he will quickly catch his error, apologize, and go back to work. He is constantly demonstrating characteristics of a good leader."

Shanyla Williams 10th grade - Taking Responsible Risks:

Here is what Gary Peters said about Shanyla. "Miss Shanyla Williams is a new addition to our school's debate team. From the fall until now, she has taken risks while being vulnerable in our area of public speaking. As a congressional debater and a former prose interpreter in speech, Shanyla has flourished in both the debate classroom and outside of class in state competitions. As only a sophomore, Miss Williams took on the role of a lawyer for our mock trial team. She recently won top lawyer in our third round at the regional mock trial as she spoke extemporaneously (with no papers) to impress the judicial panel and her teammates. To say that Shanyla took a risk is an understatement. Shanyla Williams is truly a Giant-- her hard work and dedication is paying off for our program. There is truly a reason why they call us and students like Shanyla Williams a Giant!"
