On September 12, 2024, the DWD honored 21 adult education programs statewide with the Program of Excellence designation. Wayne Township Adult Education stood out by excelling in key areas:

The U.S. Department of Labor reports that earning a high school credential leads to an average annual wage increase of $8,400 while also opening doors to further education and career advancement. Christy McIntyre-Gray, Coordinator for Wayne Township's Adult Education Program, shared a recent triumph:

Just a month ago, our Student Council President doubled her wage after taking a digital literacy class. When students achieve their GED, earn an industry-recognized certification, or master English through our program, they gain confidence and unlock numerous opportunities."
